This event raises funds to promote awareness for all individuals with Down Syndrome. In addition, funds raised for our Golf Tournament through Up with Downs will be used to help pay for “Precious Gifts” kits for new parents, advocacy training, books, guest speakers and materials for families, for our annual social gatherings, and also we give a portion to our National Down Syndrome Society & local organizations that also provide their services to any special needs individuals. We are striving to continue to add additional resources for our families this year.

In addition to the new parent packs, we are able to give back to other organizations that support individuals with disabilities nationally and locally. We give back to the National Down Syndrome Society, 4 local camp programs, 2 parents night out programs, a local church that does a special needs prom, a residential facility, a cheer team, a swim team, a softball team, and a daycare that specializes in loving on special needs kids of all types.

Our 1st Annual Up With Downs Golf Tournament will be held at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City on Monday, October 23 at 10 a.m. This tournament will be a four-person Scramble with a $125 a person entry fee, $500 for a team.

Registration/Check-in will begin at 10 a.m. and tee-off is at 1 p.m. There will be plenty of time for everyone to warm up and grab some lunch. You will also be able to purchase Mulligans and get signed up for the Hole-in-One contest for a chance to win a car!.
