Privacy Policy
Up With Downs respects the privacy of our members, donors, event participants, sponsors, and website visitors. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account, contacting us, registering for an event, making a donation, applying as a sponsor, or creating a fundraiser. This may include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, event attendee details, T-shirt sizes, photographs, stories, donation messages, and transaction identifiers.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Up With Downs does not receive or store complete card numbers or card security codes. We retain transaction identifiers, amounts, payment status, and related contact details for receipts, reporting, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
How information is used
We use information to operate the website, administer accounts and events, process and acknowledge gifts, publish approved fundraisers and sponsor listings, respond to messages, prevent abuse, produce internal reports, and comply with legal and financial obligations.

Service providers and retention
We share information only as needed with providers that support hosting, email delivery, spam prevention, payment processing, backups, and website operations, or when required by law. Financial and operational records may be retained as required for accounting and legal purposes. Other information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary.
